Mumbai taxi ceilings

Much has happened since my last post... I'll try and catch up.  One was a trip to Mumbai which was amazing on so many levels... as a designer, just hopping in and out of taxis was inspiring and slightly psychedelic ... Its common in Mumbai for taxi drivers to customize their cars with vibrant prints, they spend the whole day in them and want to feel good.  It would be beautiful if the NY cabs could do the same...

Designer showcase at the Met tomorrow!

I'm doing an exciting designer showcase at the Met Opera tomorrow in conjunction with opening night of La Boheme.   When I first moved to New York, nothing could keep me from the opera; I got permission to sketch at the rehearsals and that led to my working closely with the Metropolitan Opera to design scarves inspired by their productions.  Come if you're close by!  I'll be in the lobby with scarves and stories.

Innovative printing

I was asked to art direct a fun project for Prestone Press to showcase this new printing technique that uses 3D raised transparent inkjets.  It was a commercial project and well, it just won a SAPPI award for Prestone Press! The Sappi award is regarded as the worlds most respected accolade of excellence and innovation in printed communications.  Prestone Press and Rob Adler are the most innovative in their field and I'm proud to have been part of this creative project!   http://www.prestoneprinting.com/sappi2015/
