Nadia became fascinated with pattern after designing repeats for printing onto textiles. She then got a little obsessed. She draws her designs by hand. Inspired by the nature around her - water rippling, seeds inside a fruit or pod, the sky at night, the spin of the planets and even tunes in songs inspire certain colours, shapes and rhythm. Her silkscreened fabrics have been a practical way to earn a living while continuing on as an artist. Patterns also turn up in her paintings and help create a sense of rhythm across a canvas.
