My love for Josephine Baker flows from my pen... This is a snippet from a larger piece in progress...

 

Filmed under glass using a mixture of drawings and photographs.

This was projected as a backdrop at the Manhattan Theatre Club on Broadway, NYC. It's part was in the play Drowning Crow.

I created this directly under the camera with crow feathers, paint, cut-out imagery and drawings. It represented a suicide of the protagonist. Only having a general plan I let the myself create the film on the spur of the moment. It's the spontaneous moments that really hold your attention. So I try not to over-plan.
